The PURSUE Golf Program is a comprehensive golf performance program designed for golfers of all levels by our physical therapists to combine our top tier standard of physical therapy and the industry-leading Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) approach to the body- swing connection. By integrating advanced movement analysis, injury prevention strategies, and tailored rehabilitation techniques, we create a customized program that enhances your overall performance. Our goal is to improve posture, range of motion, and your swing, so you can have a golf physical therapy program that allows you to play pain free and extend the life of your game.
Did you know the swing of an amateur golfer produces shearing forces on the spine up to 8x your body weight? Not only will we improve your pain and range of motion, but we also focus on enchancing core stability and flexibility, which will carry over and improve your golf swing and reduce stress on your body. On the course, this will translate to longer, more accurate shots, the ability to play longer and pain free, as well as improve strength when playing. With our expert guidance, you can achieve peak physical conditioning that directly translates to better golf performance.
In 2003, Titleist decided to invest heavily in researching how the human body interacts with the golf swing by creating The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). The TPI certification is a form of a "golf physical therapy" certification with a mission to educate golfers and golf industry professionals on the Body-Swing Connection, or showing how a player’s physical limitations can adversely affect their play or lead to injury. Essentially, TPI’s purpose is to determine what “golf fitness” is and how it relates to the golf swing. TPI's research and methodologies have led to the development of a specialized performance program that addresses specific physical limitations and improves biomechanics, thus optimizing swing efficiency and minimizing injury risks. By. identifying and correcting physical imbalances we help golfers avoid chronic pain, and repetive strain injuries.
Currently, TPI-certified medical, fitness and golf professionals have supported 19 of the last 20 major tournament winners, 25 of the top 30 players in the world and the winners of 52 of the last 63 PGA tour events. While the PGA tour stats are great, Titleist also wants to help the amateur golfer enjoy the game more and be able to play more golf. We are Titleist Performance Institute Certified and we want to do the same.
Almost 70% of golfers report that they play with lower back pain. Juniors and ladies pick up the game less frequently. The number of rounds of golf being played annually in the U.S. has continued to decline and more players have left the game due to injury or frustration. TPI is Titleist’s attempt to fix these problems. TPI is Titleist's attempt to fix these problems. TPI's approach not only enhances performance but also addresses sports related injuries that golfers commonly face, ensuring a comprehensive strategy for both prevention and rehabilitation. Whether you are an elite golfer, a weekend warrior, or just starting out, our TPI-certified program is designed to enchance your swing mechanics while reducing pain and preventing injuries.
